Having completed a very encouraging inspection of the property, I’ve taken a few moments to jot down some of the major tasks I’d like to complete over the course of the renovation.  See a choppy list of my current plans after the link to the full posting.  Also, check out the gallery page I’ve created with a bunch of “before” pictures showing the current condition of the house.  I still have a lot to learn about web page design and the gallery section has some formatting issues, but I’m just happy to have it working.  I hope to have it cleaned up and looking a bit more professional in the next week or so. 

Front Yard

- Remove fence
- Remove stones, bricks and yard lights/lamp
- Seed new grass
 

Front Porch
- Remove storm windows
- Remove awning
- Remove screen door
- Remove paneling
- Manage railing/supports under awning
- Remove carpeting
- Replace side panels under porch
- Clean/paint brick steps leading to porch
- Remove drop ceiling
 

House Exterior
- Power-wash siding
- Roof: re-do or tack down loose shingles?
- Paint foundation to create visual interest and break-up white-ness?
- Replace paneling under cantilevered extension
- Paint cellar doors
 

Backyard
- Remove brick patio area and re-seed the grass
- Create new patio area?
- Build privacy fence / plant hedges
- Paint back porch
- Trim existing hedges
 

Garage
- Demolish
- Replace with a similar structure
 

Living Room
- Remove carpeting
- Resurface hardwood floors
- Remove track lighting
- Remove wallpaper
- Paint

- Replace banister and stair rail
 

Dining Room

- Remove chandelier and replace w/new light fixture

Kitchen

- Remove linoleum floor and replace with ceramic tile
